A DIY energy (electrical) efficiency application that is simple and persuasive, helping you find real electrical utility savings. Within a few minutes, you can assess energy consumption by appliance, it has a very useful energy savings financial payback analysis section, try ‘what-if’ scenarios, and connects users to EnergyStar and other energy-saving appliances for purchase. No additional hardware is required.
Important notice: This energy-savings app is currently targeted at California electrical utility users only. However users outside California can use the financial analysis section and product search pages to evaluate appliance, solar and other energy-saving purchases.
Proceeds from this app and other investors will help expand coverage across the US and beyond.
This app is linked to a web app located at www.conserve365.com User information from this app will be accessible on the web app and vice versa.

What does c365 app do?
•Automatically creates a unique and personalized electrical energy-use profile linked to local utility rates
•Includes graphical appliance-by-appliance electrical-use characterization by month for the full year (annually for the web app).
•Offers an energy-savings driven financial payback analysis and graphics for 5 years (and 10 years for the web app)
•An energy saving database offers EnergyStar™ appliances and other energy saving solutions.
•Helps you understand ‘total cost of ownership’. Does paying more now create savings later.
•Evaluate ‘what-if’ scenarios, make changes to appliances, time-of-use, explore the effects.
•Same profile works with web-app’s expanded functionality including financial investment, best-in-class comparisons and ‘Go seek savings’.
•Save consumers 20%+ on electrical utility bills

How does it work?
Enter a supported (California) zip code, home type, number of residents, number of bedrooms and you are done. The zip code identifies the utility, base rate region and climate zones. The app automatically creates a graphical virtual electrical use profile. Users can customize the profile by adjusting appliances and time-of-use. The appliance by appliance graphical results for a month (and year on the web app) will clearly show the top electrical energy hogs. Tap on the high-use appliances or bars and find potential replacement solutions. A financial analysis section helps analyze if the energy savings alone will pay back the initial investment. Search a pre-qualified data base of EnergyStar and other energy saving appliances and services to find the best fit, brand, size, features, etc. if selected, the app may search sources and pricing using Shopzilla.com
If you are not a California utility user and want to use this app, use 94040 as the zip code. This zip code can be changed later when the expanded data base is available.

What are the benefits of c365?
Electrical use feedback is immediate, results are compelling. Identify the ‘total cost of ownership’ (TCO) that is unique to each users’ electrical energy footprint. Explore accelerating the replacement of some of the top 10 high energy-consuming appliances based on realistic and compelling long term energy cost and financial analysis. Depending on the user’s effective utility rates and use, this app may show that spending more now will result in considerable savings over 2 to 5 years than the price difference today.
Some early users achieved electric utility savings as much as 40% almost immediately just by focusing on the highest energy use appliances as well as changing certain behaviors.
How? …by replacing high use appliances such as a 20 year old garage refrigerator, replacing a one speed pool pump, replacing CRT TVs with LED versions, changing behaviors such as modifying the pool pump run timing from 8 hours to 4 hours, etc. These early users expect to see an energy savings payback in less than 2 years.
